As we reach the inevitable precipice...

Fri Nov 6, 2009, 10:04 AM
  • Mood: Bemused
  • Listening to: playlist.com
  • Reading: Lord of the Rings
  • Watching: Brotherhood 2.0
  • Playing: Basketball with Reese's wrappers and a garbage can
  • Eating: Way too many Reese's...
  • Drinking: all of the sudden I'm really thirsty
It's been a looong time since I've submitted anything. Not that I haven't been drawing! My scanner went *kaput* and I don't have money to replace it. I thought of using my husband's digital camera, but the images came out way too blurry and it was no good. I got a few up, though.

Okay, I got two up.

I wanted four, but there were further complications involving Photoshop (or, rather, the lack thereof), internet firewalls, and outdated equipment.

This could be the start of a long hiatus for me and dA. *sadness*

Perhaps I should eat something more substantial than Reese's for breakfast. But then I'd have to do dishes...oh life is so hard.

I had forgotten how amazing "Ever Present Past" by Paul McCartney is. Oh this song...I think I can handle mountains and mountains of dishes now, just because of Paul. Look it up. I defy you to say that it doesn't give you a lift. Try playlist.com if you can't find it.

Okay, I'm going to go tackle this day. Got some music going, got a pile of dishes waiting, and a to-do list boring a hole in my brain, but at the end of it all there's a yummy bread bowl and warm cheesy broccoli soup. And that's all I need to make it all worth it.

If you haven't heard of H. P. Lovecraft, the author, you need to read him. He is an early horror writer very like poe, but more chewy, and filling. Please read The Call of Cthulhu, The Outsider, and The Music of Erich Zann by lovecraft. It's not very long. Lovecraft does short stories, but I have loved every story I read by him. Read them soon and let me know what you think.

I just got the message. Being stuck in a mountain and getting married immediately thereafter will do that to you. H. P. Lovecraft, I will look him up, he sounds great. Thanks! And by the by, how have you been doing lately?

I'm really not doing too hot. It's kinda hard to pull myself out of these downward spirals of depression... I don't want to be a downer though, so I wont go further. Alicia said she saw you and that you are happy being married. That's awesome. I'm glad to hear it. Being married rocks!

'Tis true, 'tis true. It's been about a month a half and I'm still ridiculously blissful. It's almost embarrassing how perfectly I fit into those old classic cliches. I finally got a book by Lovecraft, started it a few days ago. So far I really like his eloquent descriptions and bizarre, imaginative scenarios. Thanks for the recommendation!

Here's a goofy emoticon for you: :woohoo: He amuses me to no end. Feel better.
